projects designed to augment the patient experience and staff satisfaction. This position will lead and facilitate planning activities to assure deliverables. This coordination will impact multiple departments, systems, and work-flows and require a high degree of professionalism. The project coordinator is responsible to assist in service improvement and facilitate new project development, design, and implementation to enhance current quality of services. The project coordinator will provide leadership and direction to improvement processes and may supervise other roles involved in the patient experience or project coordination.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
- Achieves effective working relationships with all departments to achieve desired department and organizational outcomes.
- Must be able to multi-task and take general directions and maintain positive relationships with all involved parties.
- Actively engages in seeking solutions to department needs and initiatives.
- Actively participates in data collection for the improvement of system and clinical outcomes at the unit, department and hospital level.
- Collaborate with external partners to implement quality improvement practices using evidence-based interventions, resulting in improved patient processes and outcomes.
- Completes/supports follow-up and evaluation of changes on an ongoing basis to assure conformance and continual goal achievement.
- Coordinates short and long term clinical projects in the department to include the research, planning/design, implementation and evaluation phases.
- Documents activities and develops feedback reports to communicate project findings and activities to collaborators and other involved.
- Documents performance improvement initiatives/quality processes in the standard PDSA method.
- Knows and applies Standards-Based Practice at the unit/department level and incorporates research into decision-making.
- Understands change theory and utilizes most effective techniques to impact successful project implementation/education.
- Utilizes unit, department and hospital goals to guide project coordination.
- Must be able to supervise direct reports or coordinator with other supervisors in the management and oversight of employees involved in project management or the patient experience.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate
- Bachelor Degree Nursing from an accredited College or University.
- 1 or more years of project leadership experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master Degree Nursing from an accredited College or University OR
- Master's Degree related health field preferred.
