The Space Systems Group (SSG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. We work tirelessly to provide integrated solutions based on information and communications throughout the chain of command. SPA has an immediate need for a Information Technology (IT) Systems Specialist.
Responsibilities
About the Position
SPA is seeking a mission-driven Information Technology (IT) Systems Specialist to support the Space and Intel Division's Space Systems Group (SSG). Will apply operational knowledge of IT systems and methods to complete IT and system requirements of the government customer. This will include the support and maintenance of government computer systems by troubleshooting, tracking, and resolving end user support requests while complying with federal regulations, policies, codes, and security and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Support technical design, construction, and delivery of technology solutions as needed.
- Configure and manage Azure cloud and Microsoft Intune environments.
- Configure and manage Entra ID Joined and Entra ID Hybrid Joined devices within the GCCH Intune Tenant.
- Configure Intune Compliance and Configuration Policies to align with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Organizational Security Baselines.
- Configure and Debug Intune Application packages for end users to install on-demand via company portal or to push required applications and updates to all systems.
- Configure, support, troubleshoot Windows and Mac Operating Systems’ Intune Integration and Management Planes.
- Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades, and modifications following DoD security guidelines.
- Provide technical support to all levels of personnel concerning the implementation and daily operations of the computer systems and individual microcomputer functions in the office.
- Manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless access points) using DoD-approved configurations.
- Maintain network and standalone servers, workstations, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation as required.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum performance.
- Leverage Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) benchmark for Cyber Hygiene.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, track hardware/software lifecycle, and ensure compliance with DoD asset management policies.
- Provide direct multi-level Help Desk support and troubleshooting of all hardware and software.
- Coordinate hardware and software system installation and ensures specifications are met with minimal customer impact.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for all desktop solutions and troubleshooting instructions in the Knowledge Databases.
