*This position is based out of our Fort Myers, FL office but eligible for a hybrid schedule after completion of the probationary period.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Trust Accounting Associate processes client requests accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with documented processes and procedures. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our clients via phone and email and maintain proper documentation. You will often process and review high volumes of standard tasks and transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Works with the Trust Accounting Team for daily transactions maintenance including deposits, payables, and client requests
- Efficiently and proactively manages client correspondence (incoming calls, emails, chats, and client visits)
- Demonstrates effectiveness in working through a high volume of daily transactions, payment processing, check coding, and data entry
- Handles client transaction verifications and communications
- Codes documents according to company procedures
- Provides support to other departments and employees as needed
- Processes client requests and follows up on pending requests
- Processes client distribution requests
- Works as an effective team member
- Displays excellent working knowledge of accounting processes and controls, able to troubleshoot and correct weaknesses
- Ability to research and solve account issues
- Working knowledge of various investment types
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Finance or related field preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Financial Services environment
- Experience in Accounting or Finance preferred

TECHNICAL SKILLS
To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
