The Sr. Director, Supply Chain Distribution is responsible for all warehousing activities across Ferrara’s distribution center network, including Finished Goods warehouses, as well as all external sites supporting raw and pack storage for Ferrara’s manufacturing operation. Key areas of focus include 3PL management, delivery of throughput and cost targets, inventory accuracy, warehouse management systems, and minimizing Other Gross to Net Deductions (Returns, OS&D, Penalties, etc.). The Sr. Director, Supply Chain Distribution will lead a team responsible for achieving safety objectives, setting Key Performance Indicators, developing personnel, budgeting, long-term planning, and implementing continuous improvement projects to improve overall efficiency. As a business partner, this role works closely with Customer Service, Transportation Planning, and Manufacturing to achieve overall Operational Excellence.

- Manage third party partners through contractual adherence and agreed key performance indicators
- Achieve service objectives, ensure contractual compliance, and execute on productivity initiatives and cost control goals
- Contribute to the Company’s financial success through margin and budgetary control, including seeking creative ways to improve overall productivity for the network
- Provide leadership to direct reports (warehouse managers, analysts, etc.), peers, and all internal and external business partners
- Focus on continuous improvements by implementing recommendations to improve supply chain processes that directly and indirectly impact distribution
- Analyze logistical problems to develop solutions including hardware and software applications that drive accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction; apply lean principles across distribution operations
- Manage and oversee Value Added Services department (retail display construction) within the warehouse
- Establish a culture of safety throughout the warehouse, maintaining a safe and secure work environment with a high level of safety awareness among team members
- Manage distribution processes to comply with company quality policies and food safety standards

Experiences that will support your success
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of broad supply chain and logistics experience with a demonstrated track record of success
- Team leader that has managed a critical supply chain department from strategy formation through execution with excellence
- Ability to effectively budget and deeply understand the trade-offs and decision points that impact both service and cost
- System implementation experience or ability to quickly identify areas of opportunity within a systems framework
- Experience with third party logistics management
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats
