Security – Bike Officer

The Security department is responsible for maintaining the safety and compliance of all Wynn Resorts guests and employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees, the company and their property. 
  • Responsible for minimizing opportunities for loss or damage, anticipating potential problems, reacting to disturbances and prohibited conduct, and or unsafe conditions, such as minors or pets left in vehicles, among others. 
  • Completes reports as required pertaining to outside patrol issues.
  • Responsible for conducting routine daily bicycle maintenance to ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting guests with disable vehicles when needed.
  • May be assigned additional duties as Officer for operational necessity, those duties include but are not limited exterior/interior fixed and or roving posts, also Cooperates with Law Enforcement Agencies in apprehending anyone involved in criminal activity.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work alone or in team.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data and perform job functions with attention to detail.
  • Require a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in guest relations is required.
  • Military, Security, Law Enforcement or costumer service experience with a minimum of three years in the hotel/casino industry is preferred, but not required.
  • A valid Nevada Driver License, Nevada Gaming License, CPR and Alcohol Awareness certification are required and must be obtained before entering this position.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully pass bicycle training course/certification.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully pass security officer training as required.
  • American Red Cross certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer required

- Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications: 

  • Knowledge of safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices, and public/customer service skills in a Casino environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Ability to ride a bicycle and complete basic bike officers training class.
  • Ability to communicate, read, and writes clearly in Basic English.
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding Five Stars guest service at all times.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to follow instructions in verbal and written format
  • Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people.
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellence in everything, and continually seek improvement in results.
  • Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules.
  • Ability to perform in a professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to use good judgment and foresight.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Ability to work outside during all weather conditions.

 - Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to bike, walk and stand for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

- Work Environment: 
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to outside elements. Day, Evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
