About the job:
As the Lead for the Back Office Loan Servicing team, will be responsible for directly managing a team of operations associates handling critical business functions. This role supports our Legal Operations functions covering the areas of Bankruptcy, Servicemembers Civil Relief (SCRA), Hardship applications, Recovery Vendor Payment application and more. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Customer Solutions, you will work cross-functionally to ensure the manual processes are executed effectively and your team is supported.
What you get to do:
- Manage the daily execution of critical operational processes for Bankruptcy, SCRA, Hardship, and Recovery Vendor Payment Application.
- Revise and develop process documentation to mitigate operational risk and streamline workflows.
- Partner with teams such as Analytics, Operational Risk Management, and Fraud Operations to influence changes and support departmental needs.
- Directly manage and mentor a team of associates, removing roadblocks and fostering professional growth.
- Partner with leadership to aid in the short- and long-term strategy for the back-office team.
- Gather information and data to make sound operational recommendations that support business needs.
- Own and maintain relationships with 3rd-party vendors that support Bankruptcy and Recovery Payments.
- Support issue resolution by implementing risk mitigation strategies and overseeing account remediations.
- Provide ongoing support for compliance reviews and audits for areas of ownership.
What you will bring to the team:
- High School Diploma is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience managing an operations team specifically within a financial services or similar working environment.
- Demonstrate an ability to navigate a complex operational environment and effectively manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience executing manual, exception-based processes using tools such as Google Sheets or Excel.
- Exceptional issue resolution skills with a strong, unwavering focus on customer service.
- A general understanding of operational reporting tools such as SQL or Tableau.
- Ability to create professional process artifacts, such as RACI charts and flowcharts.

In addition to base pay, the total compensation package includes eligibility and potential for performance-based bonuses and equity grants dependent upon the role and job level.
