Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Vascular Center - Supplemental

The Gonda Vascular Center has an opening for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. This exciting position allows for practice in subspecialty vascular areas such as wound care, the thrombophilia clinic, vascular medicine, and the vein practice, providing consultation and care to patients who are seen in the outpatient setting. Patient responsibilities will include clinical evaluation, interpretation of diagnostic testing, pharmacologic treatment, lifestyle counseling and possible referral for surgical intervention versus medical management. This role may also include approximately one week a month in the inpatient setting Monday – Friday days providing consultation and care in collaboration with the Vascular Consultant team. The NP or PA will be an integral member of the vascular team.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP, ACNP, or ANP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges. Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team. Wound care and/or Cardiovascular experience preferred but not required.
