Responsibilities
The Candidate shall have knowledge of, and proven performance with, the following:
- Providing Technical Writing support related to various projects across a portfolio
- Independently creating, assimilating, and conveying technical materials, policies, memos, and other documentation in a concise and effective manner for Government review
- Ensuring that the purpose, context, and document design meet the applicable standards and formatting conventions of DoD and Army Regulations
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to conduct peer review of technical documents (task specific deliverables) for grammar, content and writing style
- Delivery within short suspense's and the ability to handle sensitive and complex issues with discretion and good judgment
- Support ad-hoc data collection and documentation tasking
- Ability to develop or re-create professional graphics for executive level communications
- Manage task completion in accordance with designated schedules ensuring ensuring documents are complete, of highest quality and delivered on time
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Direct and relevant experience in the above areas
- Expert knowledge of technical writing standards, grammar and formats for government documents where the audience is DoD or Army senior leadership
- Must possess wide and deep knowledge of IT concepts, cloud and cybersecurity technologies, business processes, metrics and financial reporting, and DoD/Army nomenclature
- Must possess expert knowledge of Army publication and document development (policies, memos, and other correspondence)
- Expert task prioritization skills with proficient ability to flex between development of government documents (i.e. policies, memorandum of agreement, strategic plans, briefs, etc.) and industry documents where government is the audience (i.e. status reports, whitepapers, etc.)
- Experience providing technical writing support for solutions and services in a similar sized organization
- Expert ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with all levels of staff
- 5 or more years professional experience in a related field
- Three or more years of experience in Army, DoD, or IC at the Headquarters, Department of the Army, or major command level (e.g. ARCYBER, NETCOM, 7th Signal Command, Program Executive Office, etc.) or in industry implementing similar solutions
- Currently possess, and retain, an active DoD or IC SECRET clearance
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or other related field (e.g. IT, Business, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office products
- Strong attention to detail (spelling, grammar, voice, etc.)
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences, including the executive level
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking; Ability to proactively identify task opportunities, pursue information and requirements, prioritize within current workload, and manage through completion with minimal/no supervision
- Project Management experience (Agile, SAFe, Scrum, PMP, other)
