GENERAL PURPOSE

The Senior Manager of Global Compensation oversees all activities to design, implement and provide ongoing administration of compensation programs in support of employee total rewards strategies. As subject matter expert, provides strategic thought on Compensation programs and philosophy so that they are consistent with corporate values, assist in the achievement of business objectives, and are within the organization's fiscal constraints. Provides consulting services to all levels of leadership and the People Services organization to ensure that the application of compensation policies and practices is appropriate, consistent with common market practices, in compliance with the regulatory/statutory environments, and effectively aids in the achievement of MillerKnoll business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in business, human resources, finance, accounting or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

  • 12 – 15 years of Human Resources experience in a corporate environment.

  • 8 - 12 years compensation experience in a corporate or consulting environment which includes hands on exposure to base pay compensation, executive compensation, variable compensation, long term compensation and equity based pay programs/practices required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Expert knowledge of core compensation activities including job market pricing, survey administration and participation, pay administration program design and refinement, pay increase budget planning, reward/recognition programs and the legal framework of compensation.

  • Advanced knowledge of compensation programs/practices, Human Resource information systems and reporting conventions and global compensation strategies.

  • Working knowledge of core accounting, financial and economic concepts; demonstrates financial and business acumen.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Human Resource functions, processes, legal framework and its impact on the business organization.

  • Proven ability to work with changing priorities, tight deadlines, and multiple projects will maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Advanced ability to interact effectively with executive leadership, communicate effectively, develop and conduct presentations, use well developed writing, and leverage consulting skills to foster effective professional working relationships.

  • Highly developed analytical ability and conceptual skills; proven ability to analyze and process detailed information/process in a highly accurate and timely manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of Compensation professionals.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential data with the highest level of integrity.

  • Able to effectively use office automation / communication software and tools used in the HMI office environment; demonstrated proficiency with the use of spreadsheet and database software, data tables, graphs and formulas.

A starting compensation range for this role is $127,600.00 - $162,250.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
