Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to serve as the primary liaison among our Product, Engineering, and Finance/Accounting teams. This pivotal role will lead the technical requirements gathering and solutioning efforts as part of RB Global's transformation into a leading Digital Marketplace platform. The scope of this role encompasses the entire payments and settlements system, financial accounting flows, money movement, ERP, and reporting tools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial systems, tax systems, and integrations, combined with a proven track record as a Product Manager in similar financial domains. This role requires a candidate who is highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of navigating the complexities of a two-sided auction marketplace where financial transactions are central to our operation. Our aim is to automate and streamline our financial processes, enhancing efficiency and compliance within our financial operations.

RB Global is a remote-first company. This role can be located anywhere in the United States.  Remote-based employees will be expected to travel on occasion for meetings, strategy sessions, and team building events.  Our offices in Beverly Hills, CA, are fully operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the key liaison between Product, Engineering, and Finance/Accounting departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment on project goals and deliverables.

  • Lead the gathering and definition of technical requirements, driving the development and implementation of solutions that support our transformation into a digital marketplace with efficient financial operations.

  • Work closely with the finance team to understand the nuances of the business, ensuring that automation efforts fully capture and address the specific needs and complexities of our financial transactions and processes.

  • Oversee the end-to-end flow of financial transactions, from payment collection to commission calculations and remittance to sellers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement systems that automate and optimize financial flows, reducing manual intervention and enhancing the scalability of our financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred concentration in Finance and/or Accounting, with a solid grasp of the full picture of financial operations, SOX compliance, and audit processes. 

  • Must have prior experience as a Product Manager for financial systems, with a strong track record of managing complex financial flows in a digital environment.

  • Functional understanding of tax systems and integrations, with the ability to navigate and optimize complex financial and accounting processes.

  • Exceptional detail orientation and organizational skills, with an eye for identifying and addressing inefficiencies in financial operations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of leading technical solutioning efforts that address intricate financial challenges.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to effectively collaborate with teams across Product, Engineering, and Finance/Accounting.

  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace or auction environment is preferred but not required.
