Brown & Brown is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Staff Accountant will own a variety of accounting activities relating to both the financial operations of the Corporate Office and the analysis of information provided by Brown & Brown’s profit centers.

How You Will Contribute:

• Build and maintain models/schedules and analyze the results

• Conduct necessary account analysis and research.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets

• Prepare recurring and non-recurring general ledger journal entries

• Perform general ledger account reconciliations

• Perform special projects as requested

• Interaction with senior leaders in the business

• Pursues a course of personal, professional development.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proficient with MS Excel

• Desire to be a significant contributor to a successful team

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

• 2 – 3 years’ experience

• CPA (Preferred)
