On its maturity journey, Procurement is reinforcing its end-to-end processes, the governance and quality of its master data and is rolling-out a solid digital landscape to support Source-to-Pay process flow. Procurement Center of Excellence drives this maturity journey in close collaboration with the company’s category managers as well as stakeholders outside of the Procurement department. The team is international, and all are dedicated to delivering outstanding results and going the extra mile to succeed. You will report to the Procurement Center of Excellence Lead and work at our office in Waarle, NL.</p> <p> </p> <p>What you can expect as a Junior Procurement Assistant?<br/> At STG, all Procurement activities have been gathered in one digital procurement platform, Ivalua. As the Procurement Assistant, you will support our category managers in their daily activities on the platform. </p> <p><em>Your primary tasks will include the following:</em><br/> •    Ensure tenders run smoothly from preparation to supplier selection.<br/> •    Support administratively with procurement documents such as NDAs, certifications, and supply contracts.<br/> •    Responsible for managing and executing purchasing orders pertaining to distribution<br/> •    Be in contact with our suppliers to ensure a good procurement collaboration once agreements have been signed.<br/> •    Maintain supplier data and collaborate with our finance department on validating financial information during supplier onboarding.</p> <p> </p> <p>To succeed in this role, it is important that you can take ownership of the designed procurement processes and will be an ambassador for these towards colleagues not familiar with the systems, tools, and the Procurement department in general.</p> <p> </p> <p>Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter most for this role):<br/> •    Bachelor’s degree within procurement, supply chain management, business administration, or another relevant field.<br/> •    Will be taking pride in leading the digital agenda within Procurement and with external teams.<br/> •    Proficient user of MS products (Excel, Office) and can work with large data sets.<br/> •    Tech-savvy and have a flair for understanding workflows and processes.<br/> •    Have a can-do attitude and ability to work with stakeholders with different backgrounds and IT knowledge.<br/> •    Solid communication skills, and fluency in English</p> <p> </p> <p>What happens next?<br/> •    You Apply - Join a world-leading manufacturer of cigars and pipe tobacco.<br/> •    We carefully review your application (over a nice cup of coffee).
