In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to support system design, develop mitigation strategies, and evaluate systems in major military platforms against high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP).Responsibilities:
Advise design team on EMI/EMP related mitigation techniques
Generate functional Test Plans / Reports
Lead test evolutions with little oversight
Manage multiple subcontractor designs
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Experienced in MIL-STD-461 CS116 and RS105
Knowledgeable in EMI related mitigation designs and techniques
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
The ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Understanding of MIL-STD-2169 and/or MIL-STD-3023
Aircraft level testing experience
Exposure to radiation effects on electronics
Experience in EMI/EMC modeling software
Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools
A current active Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
