Job Description

Fabletics is currently looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team. 

As the Senior Database Administrator, you will manage and optimize our Microsoft SQL database systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. The Senior DBA will take a hands-on approach to database management, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, playing a key role in supporting business-critical applications. 

This role reports directly to the Director of Database Operations. 

How do you fit in? 

The Senior Database Administrator is a key technical expert responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of TechStyleOS's Microsoft SQL database environments. You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and IT teams to ensure our databases are high-performing, secure, and resilient. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of database architecture, and the ability to proactively address performance and security challenges. 

What you can bring: 

  •  7+ years of experience managing Microsoft SQL database systems, including: 

  • Availability Groups 

  • Replication 

  • SQL Performance Tuning 

  • Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance optimization. 

  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning. 

  • Expertise in database security, including access control and encryption. 

  • Familiarity with iSCSI, SANs, and Storage Array connectivity. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot database-related issues. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for critical database issues. 

What you will do: 

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL database systems, including installation, configuration, tuning, and monitoring. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. 

  • Implement and oversee database replication, Availability Groups, and disaster recovery solutions. 

  • Optimize performance by identifying bottlenecks, tuning queries, and implementing best practices. 

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including database policies, procedures, and technical guidelines. 

  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure databases support business objectives efficiently. 

  • Provide support and guidance to end-users on database-related tasks and troubleshooting. 

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical database systems.
