Payments Data Analyst - Vice President

About the role

As a Data Analyst in the Strategy, Innovation, Digitization team, you will support the Payments Client Service & Implementation organization through the creation and execution of data collection, transformation, and visualization strategies to provide best-in-class support to all internal stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial analysis and reporting functions within the team and Payments organization. You will balance a strong background in data analytics, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data analytics tools and dashboards using Alteryx, Tableau, and Python to support financial reporting and analysis
  • Conduct details data analysis and generate actional insights to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with both business and IT components of the organization to identify data and reporting needs and develop solutions
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing regular data validation and cleansing
  • Understand and document data lineage to ensure transparency and traceability of data from source to destination
  • Prepare and/or assist the creation of data modelling, extraction, and transforms for operational reporting and forecasting
  • Automate data workflows and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support team members on the use and data flow maintenance through the use of analytical tools, products, and best practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends in data analytics, platforms, modelling, and technology

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI and reporting for a variety of audiences from executives to analysts
  • Proficiency in data analysis and transformation tools and skills like SQL, Alteryx, and Python
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with communicating with multiple teams, balancing multiple and sometimes conflicting needs of internal customers often requiring an ability to reach consensus
  • Experience delivering complex process improvement and technology initiatives at scale, collaborating with multiple teams / functions, and driving change within large organizations
  • Experience with data lake or data warehouse, knowledge of Redshift AWS, Snowflake, or Data Bricks
  • Knowledge of running CI/CD pipelines, creating a data ecosystem from multiple sources to get real-time data.
  • 3+ years of related experience in field analytics and strategic reporting

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Certification in data analytics and/or quantitative disciplines
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques
  • Understanding of data lineage and data governance principles
  • Experience with other data analysis tools and languages (e.g. R, SAS)
