Job Description
Discipline: Mechanical Scope
- Provide administration and coordination across the project, working with the client, Turner & Townsend staff and other key consultants.
- Support our cost management team and client to enable forecast on program budget and commitment.
- Provide review, support and information on GC’s Application for Payment and forecasting to the T&T cost management team.
- Drive improvement in the processes and documentation/workflows through stakeholder engagement and/or measurement of important metrics.
- Work with Client, Contractor(s) / A&E design team and other key stakeholders to agree the Master Project Schedule, based on the Critical Path and key milestones.
- Support project schedule reviews including alignment with GC Project Managers.
- Provide client feedback on GC (4 to 8 week) Look Ahead Schedule identifying risks and opportunities.
- Support evaluation of General Contractor bid packages.
- Verify the General Contractor and Client consultants are completing the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) required approvals.
- Work with our cost management team and other key stakeholders to validate contractor scope gaps/changes.
- Support Value Engineering efforts being undertaken by client team and General Contractor.
- Support Cost/Change Control, including input to FAR (Field Action Request) review, negotiation & recommendations, delay analysis.
- Schedule monitoring, tracking, analysis, and input.
- Verify tracking of key project documents [in designated scope(s)], including submittals, RFI’s, change orders, invoices and payments, lien releases, etc. is being enforced.
- Coordination with Owner-direct vendors [in designated scope(s)] are working with supply chain and consultants.
- Attend weekly VIM meetings.
- Attend client team PM and coordination meetings.
Project Close Out:
- Initiate close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance, setting timelines and responsibilities.
- Establish close out documentation requirements. Verify receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.
- Verify punch list, substantial completion, and final completion process through onsite Construction Management team.
- Support the negotiation, resolution and close out any outstanding change orders, quality issues or disputes.
Assist client in scheduling, coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors, consultants.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. With a keen eye for detail and experience of identifying continuous improvement opportunities the candidate should have experience working on automotive manufacturing facilities programs.
Required skills:

- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality programs involving heavy process equipment
- Passionate about solving complex challenges within aggressive timelines
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Technology savvy, can quickly learn technologies such as Bluebeam, P6, Power BI, AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand architectural, MEP, and structural building drawings
