Accounting Manager

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Manager, Accounting Operations will help drive operational improvements within the finance department to further develop a highly efficient, world-class accounting process.

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coach accounting staff on daily tasks and developmental areas
• Ensure an accurate and timely month end close by providing management and support to the accounting close process
• Assist in the research and implementation of new FASB regulations important for the business
• Serve as a hands-on team member responsible for performing and reviewing transactions
• Enforce proper accounting policies and processes
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department to support overall department goals
• Act as subject matter expert for system integrations related to Accounting Operations
• Respond to inquiries from the CFO, VP of Finance & Accounting, and companywide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like
• Assist in preparing for and managing annual external audit, coordinate with other auditors as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree or CPA
• 4+ years Accounting Firm experience or 7+ years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, or related field

PREFFERED QUALIFICTIONS

• Experience in Public Accounting, or related industry experience
• 2+ years of experience leading people
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and application of US GAAP 
• Prior demonstration of documenting and maintaining a COSO Framework or SOX Control environment
• Advanced Excel skills including PowerPivots, macros and advanced formulas 
• Experience with ERP system Microsoft Dynamics F&O preferred
• Experience in reporting systems: BI360 and PowerBI 
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and team working capabilities enabling one to interface at all levels
