Caregiver Leander Mon-Fri 8:30a -12:30p Long Term - Set Schedule

Shift:  8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Hours:  20 hours plus 
Days:  Mon-Fri

Home Helpers Home Care of North & West Austin, has an opportunity for an experienced caregiver (female required) to assist daily an elderly woman who is wheelchair bound and needs personal care, and light house keeping. This is a long term position, Monday - Friday 8:30am to 12:30pm.  We are looking for an individual, who is compassionate about helping people, can show up on time, and be able to drive the client to appointments or errands around town.  This individual will be able to follow directions from the client as well as offer to go above and beyond and suggest projects to help with.  Someone who is organized and can assist client with organizing her home, and schedule.  We also have other shifts available that can be added on to this if you desire more hours and have some flexibility.

Job Details:

• Position: Experienced Caregiver (CG)
• Location: Leander, TX
• Client: Elderly woman who is in a wheelchair, but is fairly independent. 
• Pay Rate:  $16-$20 an hour based on experience
• Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all transfers, and assist with some bathing/dressing
  • Laundry, change sheets
  • Engage the client with lively conversation, 
  • Accompany client with errands and appointments
  • Can work independently on light house keeping projects
  • Cook/prep meals
• Schedule:
  • 5 days a week: Monday - Friday
  • Shift: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (4 hours per day)

Qualifications:

• Someone with a passion to help others!
• Is always on time or early
• At least 2 years of experience in caregiving
• Experience with handicap patients and transferring techniques
• Clean background record
• Current driver's license w current Insurance
• Someone who can follow direction

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
