The Securities Services Operations Analyst is a part of the Income/Reorg Operations team that is responsible for processing, balancing, and applying payments timely and accurately. Within the Trust Operations environment, this team interacts with various internal partners to evaluate, communicate, and process these events and payments.
These Securities Services Operations Analyst associates each have a specific and impactful function for our clients and UMB to ensure accurate processing of requests. The Income/Reorg Operations team are subject matter experts that help reduce risk for the bank and our clients.
The Securities Services Operations Analyst is responsible for performing moderately complex financial calculations and processing related to securities and cash transactions for investors. This position is also responsible for proactively seeking out information to provide the highest level of service possible for our clients. The Securities Services Operations Analyst has very strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and is competent with VLookup and Pivot table functions. You can expect a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The successful associate is flexible with unpredictable scenarios and rapidly adapts to client and team needs. The team is motivated to be self-driven and enjoy the challenge of learning new skills while controlling the progression of their career. This role focuses on helping ensure their team is operating at maximum potential.

How you’ll spend your time:
- You will use critical thinking and analytical skills to perform moderately complex financial calculations and processing related to securities and cash transactions for investors.
- You will use your technical skills to identify system issues, defects, or sensitive client impacting issues and provide appropriate level of documentation to various levels of management or the appropriate support group.
- You will develop a base of knowledge that will allow you to assist others within the team and the department with the ability to review/approve other associates work.
- You will spend your time referencing escalations on dividend, interest, maturity, and loan pool payments.
We’re excited to talk with you if:
- You have seven (7) years Financial Services experience, OR
- Six (6) years Financial Services experience and an Associate’s Degree, OR
- Four (4) years Financial Services degree and a Bachelor’s Degree, AND
- Three (3) years minimum experience in Securities/Custody Operations environment
Bonus Points if you:
- Possess Global Plus or other trust systems experience
Compensation Range:
Minimum: $44,790.00 - Maximum: $103,820.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
