Key Responsibilities

As Branch Manager/Supervisor II, you will:

• Lead and inspire a dedicated team through hiring, coaching, supervision, and professional development.
• Drive community engagement by developing impactful programs, forming strategic partnerships, and actively representing the library at local events and meetings.
• Deliver exceptional service by ensuring responsive, customer-focused experiences for all patrons.
• Manage daily operations including scheduling, reporting, collections, budgeting, and building oversight.
• Champion a positive, welcoming workplace through collaboration, communication, and clear expectations.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: At least four years in a public library setting, including 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Education: Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA-accredited program preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate teams, navigate change, resolve conflicts, and implement strategic goals.
• Tech-Savviness: Comfort working with library management systems, office software, and evolving digital tools.
• Communication Strengths: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Community Focus: A strong commitment to outreach and building partnerships that respond to the wide-ranging needs and priorities of the community.
• Flexibility: Ability to work evenings and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
