For our growing financial department we are currently looking for Senior Accountant with Italian.

As the Senior Accountant, you will be the focal point for finance and accounting activities in the country working closely with our internal stakeholders to manage the general accounting activities, financial reporting, auditing, tax, and other ad hoc duties.

For the position, we are looking for an experienced accountant with some experience working for a similar international organization. Fluency in both Italian and English is essential to the role and a proactive approach to take the initiative and drive the accounting activities.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Your Responsibility: 

• Diligently manage general accounting activities including reconciliations and reporting activities.

• Manage the monthly closing activities by liaising with all relevant stakeholders.

• Supervise the activities of our external shared service centre.

• Support the Finance Manager with Corporate compliance controls.

• Assist the Account Payable activities with improvements in managing vendor invoices.

• Maintain administrative procedures with insurance companies, banks, and other external stakeholders.

• Actively support and participate in internal and third-party audits.

• Liaise with the tax advisor for tax declarations and forms.

Your Skills and Expertise: 

• Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant financial discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in finance/accounting and within an international organisation.

• Experience in roles that require process improvements and delivery of results.

• Knowledge of IFRS standards

• Proven knowledge of corporate tax-related topics and analytical skills

• Good knowledge of SAP ERP tools. Knowledge of SAP S/4Hana is a plus.

• Fluent in English and Italian

• Very good communication skills and ability to work autonomously on defined tasks.
