Marilyn Sands Outpatient Clinic includes gastroenterology, pulmonary and pain clinics
Full time, days
Main Function:
- Provides quality patient care under the guidance of the providers
- Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care
- Assists providers with patients including preparation of the exam room, vital signs, providing education to the patient
- Perform venipuncture, administer medications and immunizations, assist with special procedures, removal of sutures all under the direction of the provider
- Responsible for telephone triage and patient education
- Assist the providers with ambulatory procedure cases including scheduling, patient clearance, and pre and post procedure education
Job Specific Competencies:
- Skill in provision of care to patients of the Marilyn Sands Outpatient Clinic
- Ability to collect, document and access data in the electronic medical record
- Demonstrate accuracy and completeness in charting documentation and billing for each visit
- Demonstrate phlebotomy and laboratory testing within the standards of the Thompson Hospital lab
Qualifications:
- Current NYS RN license required
- Current Infection Control Certificate required
- BLS certification required
Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing required
Experience:
- Three years of recent nursing experience required
- Physician office nursing experience and triage experience preferred
- Critical Care experience preferred
- Gastroenterology and pulmonary experience preferred
Pay Range: $30.00 - $42.00
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
