Background Check Information

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Performs semi-skilled golf course grounds and facility maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

One (1) year of closely related experience or the equivalent.A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah is required to drive County vehicles. Experience working at a golf course is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

 

• Performs general golf course maintenance such as snow removal, tree and shrub maintenance, cleaning, water hazard and sand trap maintenance, and cup changing procedures.

• Maintains turf, including grass seeding, sod installation, mowing, aerating, and top dressing and fertilizing greens, tees, roughs, and fairways.• Programs, diagnoses, adjusts, and repairs automated irrigation systems, weather stations, and other equipment as needed.

• Performs appropriate trade work, such as painting, carpentry, electrical, and concrete finishing.• Operates a variety of specialized equipment.• Compiles, updates, and maintains pertinent records of equipment, tools, and supplies.• Routinely monitor existing golf course conditions. Evaluate and test the playability of the golf course.
