Position Description:
Senior Specialist, Animal Health – US Commercial Livestock FP&A Support
The position will provide Financial Planning and Analysis services to the US Commercial Livestock Team. The US Livestock business is in the midst of an exciting evolution as it continues to integrate innovative animal health products with technology solutions across the business in order to meet its customers’ needs. The position will report to the Finance Director, US Commercial Livestock, located in Lenexa, KS.
Job Scope and Responsibilities
Assist client groups with foundational FP&A activities including: annual budget development; periodic forecast development; and analysis of actual results
Monitor, analyze, and report US Livestock and Business Support operational expenses
Prepare monthly reporting package for distribution to US Livestock senior leadership
Support the consolidation of US Livestock actuals, forecasts and budgets
Perform various financial analyses as required by the US Commercial Livestock team
Perform limited controllership activities including support of month-end close processes and controls
Collaborate with finance Business Service Center colleagues to ensure data is loaded to planning tools timely & accurately
Collaborate with divisional COEs on various forecasting and reporting initiatives, and ensuring principles are adhered to
Participate in projects and ad-hoc requests
Position Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting)
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting role.
Ability to interact in cross-functional teams and with Sr. Management
Strong financial and business acumen
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong skills, aptitude, and experience with financial reporting software tools.
Ability to work in the details, while appreciating the overall strategic picture
Results-driven and process-oriented
Ability to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and complete tasks promptly and accurately
