The Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join one of Blip’s empowered, cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will work autonomously on complex technical challenges, contributing to the design and delivery of scalable and user-focused frontend solutions for a global audience. You will become a subject matter expert in key areas of the product and tech stack, taking ownership of your domain and guiding the team on best practices, technical decisions, and long-term improvements.

You’ll write exemplary code, simplify systems, and influence architecture and engineering culture. You’ll also support the growth of others through mentorship, and ensure your team is stronger because of your presence — not dependent on it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend solutions using React and TypeScript.
• Own specific areas of the product and architecture, becoming the go-to expert within your team.
• Drive best practices in code quality, performance, security, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate across teams to simplify systems and resolve architectural challenges.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.
• Proactively identify and resolve root causes of recurring issues and technical bottlenecks.
• Contribute to an engineering culture that values humility, pragmatism, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call rotation when required, ensuring stable and reliable experiences for users.

Your Qualifications – Must Have:

• Strong experience building scalable and fault-tolerant frontend applications with React (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Solid understanding of design patterns, system design, and frontend architecture.
• Good grasp of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, messaging systems, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS), containers (e.g., Docker), and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Passion for automation and scripting (e.g., Shell).
• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and a proactive mindset.
• Proven ability to ship high-quality products in Agile environments and contribute to engineering excellence.
