Technical Support Specialist-Environmental

The role is responsible for supporting the environmental department with field compliance requirements to meet Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. The Environmental Technician is an environmental technical professional for onsite compliance programs in the plant.
• Monitor and support environmental permit conditions to ensure compliance. Coordinate collection of samples and analysis of environmental samples with analytical laboratories, process areas and outside contractors including managing corresponding contracts.
• Assists non-hazardous and hazardous waste inspections and shipments.
• Responsible for recordkeeping requirements including coordination and submittal of regulatory reports including, Air Permits, annual EPCRA Reports (Section 311/312 and 313), and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Management, as required.
• Interacts with federal, state, and local regulators to resolve compliance issues; communicate permit requirements and assists in federal, state, and local regulatory audits.
• Conduct training for site employees regarding compliance with environmental regulations, site permits and site procedures. Revise procedures and training programs, as necessary.
• Provide field level tactical support or completion of action tasks related to environmental incidents.
