What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP CXII iXp Intern – Software/ML Engineer 
Location: San Ramon, CA US
Expected start date to end date: August 2024-January 2025

 

As an SAP CXII iXp Intern – Software/ML Engineer, you will key role in innovative and incubation projects centering around delivering applications based on AI/ML. You'll be part of our dynamic team, working on various projects, building solutions based on object detection, visual search and recommendation systems. The role will include evaluating various software and machine learning components (LLM), UI Stacks,  ML Libraries etc, that fits our architecture. It will also entail developing ML models for ideation, optimizing current solution and presenting the findings to various stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be part of the team to work on various Data Integration initiatives needed for AI/ML training’s, catering to the needs of our different Line of Business.The project will involve performance optimization,MLOps, testing, and evaluation of these systems. To conclude, it will be an opportunity to learn, understand and work on end to end AI/ML lifecycle and deliver solution on Cloud Native platforms.

 

As an SAP CXII iXp Intern – Software/ML Engineer, your work will directly enhance the efficacy and efficiency of our AI based services for Customer Experience Line of Businesses, lower the implementation cycles and enhance customer experiences. This, in turn, will drive customer engagement, increase sales, and ultimately boost business growth. It will immensely help in higher adoption and delivery of solutions to market quickly.

Educational requirements
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.

 

Position requirements

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages preferably Java, Python, Go etc
• Proficiency in front end technologies
• Strong foundational knowledge in Machine Learning and related technologies
• Experience with Cloud platform like Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter and propensity to learn new technolgies
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Desired skills / experience to be successful in this role
• Strong coding and problem solving skills
• Experience in working in Cloud Native platforms
• Experience in containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Automation tools for CI/CD, testing etc
• Foundational knowledge of Machine learning platforms
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git

 

Qualifications for the role

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or Master’s porgram in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Understanding of MLOps principles, including model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• 2-3 years of experience coding in Python and 2 years of experience working in Machine Learning.
