What You’ll Do

The manufacturing engineer is responsible for preparation of cost estimates for quotations and or for new or redesigned products or processes.  Acts as a liaison between the sales and design engineering group with respect to quotations and product performance information.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • Prepare cost estimates for quotations, new products, or redesigned processes.

  • Act as a liaison between the sales and design engineering teams, providing critical product performance information.

  • Compute cost estimates for raw materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, and labor.

  • Aid in scheduling, acquisition, and completion of cost-reduction projects.

  • Coordinate activities related to obsolete products or documentation.

  • Analyze engineering design documents and recommend methods, processes, and tools to optimize manufacturing.

What You’ll Need

  • Education: High School Diploma; BSME Degree or related Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); strong metal machining knowledge; ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

  • Experience: Hands-on experience with mechanical devices such as screwdrivers and wrenches; ability to handle and move loads up to 50 lbs; capacity to generate tightening loads up to 100 ft-lbs.

  • Certifications: Regulatory training in FDA, CMDCAS, CGA, NFPA is required.

  • Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the production floor or machine shop, requiring safety glasses and occasionally hearing protection. Product testing may occur in a climate-controlled test lab.
