Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$122,250 - $179,300

Lilly is in a period of unprecedented growth and needs a robust process for evaluating, mitigating, and monitoring third parties and the risk they bring to the company. After initially rolling out the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) initiative in 2020, we continue to evolve process and are now aiming to evaluate a broader set of third-party risks, further mitigate existing risks, enhance competencies, and promote uniformity. We are looking for a leader to partner across internal functions and with external consultants to assess the current state; bring forward an integrated, enterprise-wide solution; and implement our next phase of TPRM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Assessment: In partnership with external advisors, consult across risk domain owners, business functions and geographies to ensure a clear understanding of current processes and potential gaps or risks
  • Solution Development: Enhance and/or build a comprehensive process to consistently manage third party risk across the enterprise, with defined roles, specific program requirements, and an integrated technology strategy to streamline the process. Strive to use a consistent solution across risk domains and processes. Work with key collaborators to gain agreement on new processes and solutions.
  • Risk Governance and Framework: Establish formal and integrated governance structure for all functions and risk domains of TPRM to coordinate with the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) team
  • Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Improve insight into third-party risk exposure and classification across all risk domains. Formalize reporting capabilities for key TPRM metrics to enable tactical and strategic decision making across Lilly.
  • Implementation Planning and Execution: Develop an implementation plan the agreed upon solution, balancing speed with simplification and a pragmatic approach to risk management. Partner with Tech@Lilly to ensure plan aligns with tech resources
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure processes and technology to support compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. Develop and implement risk management policies and protocols in line with the company's business strategies.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field with 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or an MBA with 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of consulting experience
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.
