The collection and use of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) enhances two-way communication between patients and clinicians, resulting in improved outcomes and quality of life for patients. Associate Professor Claudia Rutherford has been a leading researcher in this field for over 15 years. This research aims to understand what makes PROMs acceptable to clinicians and consumers, when they should be collected, and how PRO data can best be displayed for quality assurance and care.
