Role Summary
Are you a passionate front-end engineer with a drive to transform healthcare through cutting-edge technology? AdvancedMD is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer – Frontend Web App Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of medical practice software by building high-performance, AI-enhanced web applications that empower providers to deliver better care.

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll leverage your expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and modern web technologies to design and develop intuitive, scalable solutions for independent medical practices and outpatient healthcare providers. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contribute to code reviews, and champion engineering best practices that drive innovation and reliability.

Essential Job Duties:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications in accordance with project requirements using Agile processes
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, documentation, unit tests, optimization, and maintainability
• Collaborate with team in an open, supportive environment
• Contribute and often identify solutions to application issues
• Take ownership for individual contributions and team collaborations
• Maintain accountability for quality, reliability and delivered solutions
• Attend regular Scrum ceremonies (plannings, grooming, stand-ups, etc.)
• Engage in ongoing process improvements in development workflows and team practices
• Assist team leaders and architects with technical requirements, design, and deployment documents
• Continuously strive to learn new skills, tools and technologies to further enhance team performance
• Work on understanding product and customer needs in relation to specific application area

 Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Minimum of 4 years - professional experience in web development
• Experience with Agile development and Git
• Proven team collaboration experience
• 4 years experience in enterprise development (CI/CD, Multitenant SAAS, Performance, Observability, Scalability, Quality, Ownership)
• Cloud Experience
• Technical problem-solving abilities
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS 3.0, SQL, XML, Azure DevOps, NodeJS, EsLint, and Visual Studio is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

What Will Make us LOVE You

• 4+ years experience building Angular applications
• 2+ years experience building REST APIs and web services
• 2+ years experience working with SQL / T-SQL
• Experience with AI assisted development
• Basic understanding of advanced Angular concepts such as:
  • Reactive programming
  • State management
  • Signals
  • Standalone components
  • RXJS (Observables, Operators, and subscriptions)
  • Memory leaks and performance
• CI/CD using K8s and Docker
