Work Arrangement:  

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.

The Role: 

  • Design, pilot, and implement AI-driven solutions to automate and optimize operational processes, reducing inefficiencies and manual effort. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate AI and automation tools into existing systems, ensuring seamless adoption and measurable impact. 

  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative approaches to further streamline operations and enhance stakeholder experience. 

  • Work with the Program Management Services and Software team to assist in automating reports and summaries about current and future initiatives such as ESS Leasing to take advantage of 30% tax incentives and Grid Services pilots using our electric vehicles to support the grid and our homes. 

  • Create a process and scorecard utilizing software tools to summarize status, dates and owners for Leadership that is easy to understand and communicate visually from existing Program Management tools. 

  • Work with the Public Charging Infrastructure team to refine processes and metrics benchmarking other EV makers and standardize amongst Charge Service Operators. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree one of the following areas: AI/ML, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related degree 

  • Must be graduating between May 2027 - June 2028 

  • Able to work full time, 40 hours per week during the summer months

  • Strong computer software skills, especially AI, Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Jira, Jira Align, & Power BI 

  • Electric vehicle, battery storage, solar power, hydrogen, charging infrastructure, sustainability, and/or utility
