Capital Markets Specialist- Public Markets- VP

MSIM is building out a capital markets team to present a unified, holistic view of MSIM to its counterparties.  The primary function off this role is tracking counterparty wallet share (e.g. trading commissions and research), building SRM relationships with the street, and eventually delivering the scaled value to the internal stakeholders.  Applicant should have strong understanding in public markets including active equities, fixed income, liquidity, ETF’s, and hedge fund solutions.  Success of this role will be dependent on building strong partnerships with our senior decision makers in trading, portfolio management, and COO functions.  Additionally, the applicant will gain exposure on how counterparty wallet is managed on the private side MSIM, along with how other areas of MSIM engage with the street (e.g. middle and back office functions).  Comprehensive understanding on MSIM’s entire wallet will be a key contributor to MSIM senior management’s strategy with its strategic counterparties.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
