Maintenance Supervisor

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency

• Manage proactively

• Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems

• Create and implement measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc)

• Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts

• Oversee repairs

• Train new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures

• Create a work environment with safety as a high priority

• Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work

• Record and track daily progress/error reports

• Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed

• Create and adhere to maintenance budgets

• Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol

• Effectively troubleshoots problems, performs root cause analysis, and seeks appropriate solutions to critical issues.

• Assists with maintenance work carried out by the maintenance technicians and provides them with necessary and efficient solutions.

• Responsible for managing maintenance technicians and staff on multiple working shifts, includes hiring qualified personnel, providing performance feedback, and top grading them as required.

• Providing training to staff as needed.

• Develops short and long term range plans for preventative and predictive, facility, and machine maintenance.

• Preventative and predictive maintenance plans are a critical part of this position.

• Schedules maintenance technician work assignments and activities and communicates expectations.

• Plans, schedules, and monitors maintenance and repair activities.

• Requisition parts and supplies and coordinates with other departments to assure minimum downtime for production. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience.

• Experience with Mechanical or Conveyer systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

• Previous managerial experience highly preferred

• Experience managing multiple vendors

• Ability to consistently maintain positive client relationships

• Can effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities

• Makes Safety a top priority at all times

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) with a strong understanding of data analysis software tools
