Senior Developer

A Senior Developer at Protera should have proficiencies in the following technology concepts: RESTful web services, microservices architecture, basic web app user interface design, data modeling and logging, SCM (git), CI/CD workflows, virtualization, containerization. Preferred platform expertise: ServiceNow, Elastic, Azure, AWS, GCP, GitHub/GitLab, Kubernetes. Experience in two or more of the following programming languages/structures: Javascript, Python, Go, HTML/CSS, React, JSON. Existing experience working in an Agile/Scrum planning cycle is strongly preferred.

Requirements

A Senior Developer should be able to work both independently with little direct oversight but also thrive in a team setting, especially mentoring junior developers and working with colleagues in other time zones. A Senior Developer will be responsible for not only their own tasks, but the completion and accuracy of their team members’ tasks as well, including peer review, code policy/standards adherence, and the establishment of best practices. Additional responsibilities of defining technology strategy for individual projects as well as organizational goals is strongly encouraged.
