EBD is a Division within Hitachi America that is charted to innovate Environmental solutions to help North American customers meet their published sustainability goals.  EBD works alongside other Hitachi Business Units, ecosystem partners and customers to incubate solutions that deliver environmental, economic and social value. 

Summary

Hitachi Environment Business Division (EBD) is seeking a Financial / Business support analyst to support a team of climate innovators to incubate and validate new solutions to today’s sustainability challenges. 

Responsibilities

Financial / Business Support Analysts will provide both EBD Division business operations support, as well as business incubation financial support.

Business Operations Support Responsibilities

• Procure-to-Pay

  • Soliciting vendor/supplier pricing proposals

  • Request and facilitate Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processing

  • Vendor / Supplier invoice tracking and payment processing

  • Purchase Requisition backlog review

• Reporting

  • Monthly & Quarterly financial reporting review

  • Actuals variance analysis

  • Support forecast and budget development

• Other

  • Financial audit support

Business Incubation Financial Support Responsibilities

• Business model definition with incubation team

• Market analysis (TAM, SAM, SOM), as well as forecasted CAGR

• Annual and multi-year financial model development (Income Statement, Cashflow, etc)

• Proposal pricing development, including margin analysis

• Proposal stage gate support

• Pilot / PoV contracting support, including sales order processing and customer invoice (Order-to-Cash)

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related field.  Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. 

• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance that includes experience with budget software, spreadsheet and database applications, data flow, report creation, and data interpretation.

• Experience or familiarity within these sectors a plus: Sustainability, Energy infrastructure projects, Software-as-a-Service, structured Finance

• Experience managing budgets.

• Highly analytical mindset.

• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical forecasting.

• Excellent mathematical aptitude

• Good problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Exceptional interpersonal skills
