Software Integration Engineer (SIE) 3 (Telework: 8 hours/week)

We are committed to hiring the best of the best, and in return, we offer a world-class, truly unique employee experience that is rare within our industry.   Provides expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.   The Software Integration Engineer shall be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and management of managed services as part of the CLEVERCHEMIST team supporting the CASA organization.    Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities

• Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
• Generate documentation for the full software stack.
• Update software for sustainment support.
• Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
• Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
• Provide software product ownership for HPC tools.
• Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and switch between various architectural paradigms.

Required Qualifications

• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
OR
• The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
OR
• An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience. A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience performing Linux System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS products, packages, and libraries
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired Technical Skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

   

• Experience with AWS Cloud technologies
