The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join our HR team. This hands-on leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive HR initiatives, support organizational goals, and foster an engaging workplace culture.


Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Sr HR Manager, will manage critical HR functions, including benefits administration, HRIS management, and reporting, while partnering with organizational leadership. 


This position provides a hybrid work environment, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and in the Orlando Association Office.


Key Responsibilities


HR Operations Management:

  • Hands on leadership in the day-to-day Human Resource operations within a centralized HR department supporting multiple locations across Central Florida.
  • Collaborate with leadership to trouble shoot and resolve issues, develop, implement, and interpret HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations, wage and salary guidelines, and HR standards.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies to save time and reduce costs.

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage employee benefits administration, including health insurance, wellness initiatives, and support with retirement plan.
  • Ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations and evaluate offerings to meet employee needs and market trends.
  • Develop communication strategies to promote understanding and transparency of benefits across the organization.

HRIS Management and Reporting:

  • Super-user Admin of the HRIS (Paylocity system), including configuration, data integrity, reporting, and maximizing utilization of all Paylocity modules.
  • Create and analyze HR dashboards, metrics, and reports to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Must be savvy in Excel to combine various reports, audit data, easy of formulas and troubleshooting. 

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Support the HR team in executing a talent acquisition strategy to attract and retain a diverse and skilled workforce.
  • Enhance onboarding initiatives and promote DEI tactics to foster an equitable and inclusive workplace.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred fields: Human Resources, Business Administration, or related).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in a multi-site or nonprofit setting.
  • Experience in benefits administration and HRIS management, with reporting expertise required.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with emotional intelligence and cultural competency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, savvy in Excel; intermediate use or above skills; utilizing formulas, troubleshooting errors, creation of reports, and HRIS tools.
  • Ability to lead HR projects, prioritize competing demands, and build relationships across diverse teams.
