Role Summary
The Director of Business Development – National Hygiene Program will join the Strategy & Innovation team to support building out a new, National Hygiene program across the ClearChoice network. In this newly created role, the Director will work closely with a VP of Strategy, a VP of Business Development, and Aspen Dental Hygiene business counterparts. This role will have ultimate responsibility for building the strategy, business plan, and operating model for pilots and full deployment of the program. This role will also have ultimate responsibility to build and pilot the program in various Centers and drive adoption across the network.
This individual must leverage their strengths as a strategic operator and someone who can work with doctors and cross-functionally to build out this program. Ideally, this person will have clinical operations experience and/ or experience working with or as a Dental Hygienist.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with Strategy & Innovation counterparts, Center doctors, Aspen Dental Hygiene team, and other functions to build a strategy and operating model for Dental Hygiene services in each Center and nationally. Research and use current Hygiene business models at ClearChoice and Aspen Dental as a basis for building the operating model.
- Have a strong patient-focused orientation, thinking of what patients need to be served and how we can best work with them on marketing and education, pricing, customer service, and processes.
- Liaise with field teams, clinical affairs, operations teams, analytics, and finance to build and execute the program.
- Launch and manage pilot programs, including being onsite to build Dental Hygiene programs in individual centers. This will likely include hiring and training staff, building patient and operational workflows, setting pricing, organizing marketing materials, and creating means to track and monitor the business.
- Analyze (using quantitative and qualitive analysis) and report on business results, using these to recommend and execute on improvement opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 5+ years of progressive operations management experience in high-growth, distributed multi-site services, preferably in premium healthcare, consumer/retail facing industries.
- Experience in clinical or doctor relationship management. Preference for Licensed and/ or Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Demonstrated success partnering with field leadership to implement strategic initiatives within a distributed healthcare network.
- Excellent professional written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to communicate and interact with diverse constituencies and motivate teams.
