Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Role Overview

As part of the Mahindra Auto Accessories team, Manager – Testing Engineer (E&E Accessories) will be responsible for validating electrical and electronic accessories, with a strong focus on vehicle lighting systems including LED lamps, auxiliary lighting, DRLs, illuminated accessories, and electronic accessory products. This role will ensure compliance with performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

E&E & Lighting Validation

  • Plan and execute testing programs for electrical and electronic accessories, including lamps and lighting systems.
  • Conduct functional, performance, endurance, waterproofing, thermal, vibration, and reliability testing.

Lamp & Lighting Homologation

  • Support AIS and ARAI homologation requirements for vehicle lighting systems and E&E accessories.
  • Manage technical documentation, test reports, and certification submissions.

Design Verification & Validation

  • Prepare and execute DVP activities for electrical and electronic products.
  • Validate performance, electrical integrity, reliability, and safety compliance.

Diagnostics & Issue Resolution

  • Investigate validation failures and electrical performance issues.
  • Work with suppliers and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

Certification Agency Coordination

  • Coordinate with ARAI, ICAT, and testing laboratories for certification requirements and regulatory approvals.
  • Track approval timelines to support product launch schedules.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in automotive E&E testing and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive lighting systems and lamp validation.
  • Knowledge of AIS standards, homologation, and ARAI compliance.
  • Experience with DVP preparation and execution.
  • Understanding of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Education Qualification

Experience & Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in automotive electrical & electronics testing, validation, or lighting development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
  • Experience in automotive lamps, lighting systems, or illuminated accessories is preferred.
