JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Research Assistant.
Job duties to include:
Contribute to laboratory research efforts, including calibration and instrument research for the BlackCAT CubeSat and its associated detector system.
Contribute to instrumentation maintenance, data collection, data analysis, and execute research work on X-ray detectors and associated instrumentation and X-ray data sets for the detectors themselves, as well as science data from flight mission observations.
Duties could also include studies of associated high energy astrophysical sources that are relevant to the above instruments.
Schedule:
Expected hours will be approximately 20 hours/week.
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $15hour.
The selected candidate will report to Dr. Abe Falcone. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
