This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville, NC.

Job purpose

This position is responsible for transporting materials and goods to ensure a continuous flow of products throughout the facility and, initially, between warehouses.

Key responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Verify quantities during loading and unloading and promptly notify the supervisor of any inventory shortages, discrepancies, or issues

  • Use SAP to perform material put-away and picking while staging materials for put-away, pickup, and production use

  • Ensure all paperwork and labeling are complete and correct

  • Scan parts for receipt and delivery as required

  • Review assembly build requirements to support production needs

  • Pick and stage parts for delivery to production areas, ensuring correct quantities are delivered to the correct locations

  • Safely handle and transport large materials using appropriate equipment and tools

  • Delivers material from the warehouse to the production areas and vice versa

  • Operate forklifts and other powered equipment to transport various materials, parts, and products

  • Stack and store materials in designated areas according to procedures

  • Understand and comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies

  • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures while identifying, addressing, and closing safety issues, including those identified through suggestions, inspections, and investigations, along with required corrective actions

  • Understand and comply with all quality and inventory control policies

  • Provide support to decant areas

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience supporting manufacturing operations

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment required

  • Experience with high bay pulls

  • Valid forklift operator license required

  • Valid driver’s license required

  • Basic computer proficiency required, including experience with MS Windows and SAP systems

  • Reliable attendance is essential

  • Must be able to work efficiently in a team-based environment

  • Must be able to follow instructions and comply with all safety rules and regulations

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
