WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Estimator/Scheduler to be located in any of our following offices:
Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Tacoma, Washington; Irvine, California; Tampa, Florida; Raleigh, North Carolina; Houston, Texas
The successful candidate will be involved in projects with our Ports and Maritime Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Our Maritime group comprises of highly motivated analysts, planners, and maritime civil and structural engineers, working in several key locations across the US and internationally. Major clients are port authorities, U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, terminal operators, contractors, private entities, and municipalities. Our strength is derived from the diversity of our marine-related work and our staff.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for Maritime projects or groups of smaller capital projects, including the management of task leaders, schedules, budgets, and client expectations. You will participate in the formulation and presentation of technical concepts in proposal development, during the design phase, and for client presentations. Additionally, you will be engaged in the growth and development of our team by providing mentorship, technical guidance, and participation in the hiring and evaluation of junior staff. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to take control of your own career path. Your Impact
Estimating Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering drawings, specifications, and related documents for various disciplines.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying criteria, drawings, specifications, and other related documents.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Present prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks on-time and meeting scope expectations
- Attend client meetings and contract negotiations in-person at client's office
Scheduling Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain integrated baseline lifecycle schedules.
- Regularly update, provide progress reports, and publication of the master schedule.
- Identify and communicate variances from the original plan and baseline snapshots.
- Evaluate schedule progress, performance, and identify developing problem areas.
- Process project changes into baseline and live schedules.
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of progress changes to schedule and recommend solutions to ensure baseline key milestones are achieved.
- Support administration functions to ensure EPPM data, global code fields, baseline copies and data interface to other applications are maintained properly.
