The Role:
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both the emergency department and sub-acute in-patient ward to provide high quality nursing care to a variety of patients with varying medical requirements.
It would be preferable that the successful applicant has:
- Ability to work independently as part of the multi-disciplinary team
- Previous emergency experience including triage and cannulation competency.

St Helens District Hospital:
- St Helens District Hospital is located on the stunning East of Tasmania, with its beautiful beaches and pristine environment.
- The hospital has been at the Annie Street site since May 2019 and includes 9 subacute medical beds and a 4 bay accident and emergency department with plenty of onsite parking.

St. Helens District Hospital has Tasmania’s busiest rural emergency department, with an increase in emergency presentations during peak tourist season from December until April. The hospital provides a fast-paced environment that delivers high quality patient centred care. Details of appointment:
Fixed term, part time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 64 hours per fortnight commencing from as soon as you are available to join the team until 2 February 2025.

Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
Allowances:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%
