Industrial Maintenance Technician Lead (Night Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Polymer Center Technician Lead provides direction to a group of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with the Company’s safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations. The incumbent diagnoses complex repair work, coaches junior technicians on diagnostic techniques, performs external repair inspections to ensure safety, and schedules repair work to ensure timely completion, reducing lost productivity within the Business Unit.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance on plant equipment, such as conveyors, screens, reducers, balers, optical sorting units, air drum separators, compactors, magnets, dust collectors, metering bins, ballistic separators, de-labelers, de-wiring equipment, grinders/granulators, wash line equipment, optical flake sorting equipment, bulk material handling equipment, and others.

• Repair or replace parts as directed by a work order system and complete service reports.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex repair issues, performing advanced diagnostics and repairs.

• Maintain and repair plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with Company safety standards and regulations.

• Lead and mentor shift maintenance technicians, providing training and guidance.

• Communicate with supervisors, equipment operators, and vendors to clarify issues and discuss preventive techniques.

• Perform welding, fabrication, and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.

• Utilize Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems to monitor and control equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quick response to issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Adaptability to new technologies and commitment to safety compliance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 - 7 years of experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HMI systems.
