Physician Lead of Genesis Quality

Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in New York City, Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester.

 We are looking for a Physician Lead of Genesis Quality to oversee the HIV/Hepatitis, STI, Tuberculosis, and PREP care to join our teams in Brentwood, Amityville, and Patchogue. The incoming candidate will work closely with the Quality medical director for the program and with the Regional Medical lead. 

Essential duties and responsibilities for a Genesis Lead Physician:

• Candidate will provide Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine care for patients with HIV/Hepatitis/STI. 
• Participate in Tuberculosis care in collaboration with local DOH.
• Participate in Case Conference with care managers. 
• Help with other general outpatient infectious disease referrals. 
• Work collaboratively with other Internal medicine, family medicine, women’s health, MD, NP and PA’s
• Oversee quality of the Infectious Disease programs 
• Assist during AIDS institute and Ryan white grant audits. 
• Supervise residents who may be interested in an elective rotation on occasion.  

 

Minimum Education Requirement:

•         Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

•      Active/Valid license as a MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification

Specialized Skills & Knowledge:

•         Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

•         Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment)

•         Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.

Full-Time salary range: $249,267.20 – 273,020.80/year
