​​We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineeer to join our team. Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture. 

 Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.  ​ 

​​We're in search of a Senior Software Engineer to take on projects and lead enhancements to the core technology driving stream processing components. We're looking for a hands-on developer with ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability.   
 
Our goal is to simplify the use of real-time analytics at any scale and seamlessly integrate them into end-to-end analytics pipelines, allowing our customers to focus on their business logic without worrying about managing the underlying compute infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• ​​​​Design, code, test, and deploy features for our high throughput multi-tenant real-time streaming service.
• Breaks down long-term project vision into milestones as part of an overall roadmap.
• Review and contribute to the specifications and implementations written by other team members.
• Proactively seeks new information and adjust to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while also driving monitoring improvements and operations at scale.  ​ ​
