Senior Representative, Brokerage Operations
The Operations & Services Group (OSG) provides superior customer service to Fidelity’s brokerage businesses through innovation, dedication, and commitment to excellence. With seven operating divisions located throughout the country, OSG provides securities execution, clearance, and information management services to retail, institutional, and correspondent clients. OSG performs tens of thousands of over the counter, listed equities, options, bonds, and mutual fund transactions daily. OSG has a need for a Brokerage Representative in the Fidelity Agency Lending Operations area.
The Role
Fidelity Agency Lending (FAL) is a new, quickly growing business unit of Fidelity. FAL is currently supporting Fixed Income, International, domestic equity and recently launched a non-cash platform. We are looking to expand out footprint by acquiring additional clients as well as expanding our product suite. Fidelity Agency Lending is seeking driven, knowledgeable associates interested in joining our Operations team. The Operations team supports activity carried out by other FAL teams, including, but not limited to, Trading, Middle Office, and Corporate Actions. Operations associates will be directly involved in navigating securities lending transactions across fixed income, domestic and international markets, as well as carry out our already-established business practices.
The Expertise you Have
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Brokerage industry experience, preferably in securities lending and back-office operations
- Working knowledge of the securities lending business, as well as domestic and international equity, and fixed income products
The Skills you Bring
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Drive for learning all facets of the FAL business, including its teams, systems, and processes
How You Will Impact Our Group and the Organization
- By ensuring all contracts, borrowing brokers, and on-loan securities are fully collateralized to avoid Fidelity fund exposure and preserve Fidelity’s financial/reputational risk
- Working closely with other FAL teams to ensure settlement of loan and return activity, as well as carrying out internal cash movements
- Communicating with client, custodian banks, and borrowing brokers to mitigate exposure
- Researching position breaks with custodians and contract breaks with borrowers and determining how to resolve them
- Reconciling to the custodian banks’ final figures in a timely manner at the close of business
- Vigilantly and continuously trying to identify areas of improvement and be a part of developing the plan to implement change—this is a critical component of the role

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
