About the role

This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities.  Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

Duties

Working Together – supporting early learning is a Tasmanian Government initiative which is opening up opportunities for three year olds in Tasmania to participate in free quality early learning. In partnership with local communities, Engagement Workers will assist with developing the Working Together initiative and engage with families and the community to support access to and participation in quality early learning. In accordance with the Working Together project plan, work collaboratively with the community, parents/caregivers, local, federal and state government agencies and service providers to support the participation of local three year olds and their families in the co-design, piloting and experience of quality early learning in early childhood education and care (ECEC) and school settings.
Engagement Workers will connect with socially marginalised or at-risk children and families for improved outcomes in child wellbeing and education.
