Seasonal Santaland Train Usher, Herald Square - Part Time

Overview:

The Train Station Usher is an ambassador of Macys charged with helping to spread cheer and goodwill among our Santaland guests.  As an Usher, you will be responsible for assisting guests with checking in for their Santaland reservation. You will also be tasked with maintaining the flow of guests passing through the queue line area while keeping a positive, cheery demeanor and helping spread holiday cheer,

 

Essential Functions:

• Maintaining crowd control 
• Checking in guests using our computerized reservation system
• Assisting guest with making reservations
• Fielding customer questions and concerns
• Communicating with other Usher team members on guest flow throughout the queue area
• Policing exhibit against damages, littering, and shoplifting
• Communicating problems to managers and security
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
• Always maintain a cheerful, upbeat demeanor while on stage in front of guests
• Providing certain work attire pieces while wearing additional company provided uniform/costume pieces. 

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience:

• Crowd control experience with both adults and children required
• Customer service experience required
• Performer experience preferred 

 

Communication Skills:

• Knowledge of a second language helpful
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

 

Reasoning Ability:

• Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values

 

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged standing or sitting may be required
